Their Eyes Were Full of Light

 When Ava saves Crown Prince Ahtha from the monster of the mists, she also entrusts him with the secrets of her work as Gatherer for an ancient creature called the Awake One- a crime punishable by death in the consuming fires. Ava finds herself in exile, serving a crown to which she is not allegiant- but to whom her love grows. She becomes aware that the monster of the mists gave Ahtha something insidious of it; and now it stalks the kingdom. So far from home, Ava's faith is tried; but she remains connected to the Awake One, and as its power works through her, she is not the only one who takes notice. 

Will Ava's faith be enough to save her from the consuming fires? Can any of her power save the man she loves from being consumed by the monsters he is so afraid of?

Written in ring composition, Their Eyes Were Full of Light is a fairytale about young people ultimately deciding for themselves how the world will be.
